Navneeth Sundar is a composer, keyboardist, iPad musician and live performer from Chennai widely recognized for blending Carnatic roots with technology-driven artistry. A child prodigy who began performing at the age of eight, he developed a distinctive approach to classical-fusion music and is celebrated for pushing the boundaries of Indian classical expression. He pioneered the use of the iPad (GeoShred) for Carnatic performance - a breakthrough acknowledged by the Limca Book of Records. In 2015 A. R. Rahman shared Navneeth’s iPad rendition of Desh Thillana propelling him to national attention. In 2004 he was honoured with the title “Sangeetha Bhaskara” by the Vaigai Gnanaskandan Trust at Narada Gana Sabha Chennai in recognition of his excellence in Classical Carnatic music.

Cinema & Screen

Navneeth made his film debut with Karmayogi (2011 - Malayalam) composing the devotional hit “Chandrachooda” which has surpassed 37 million YouTube views and remains a cult favourite among dancers worldwide. He went on to score for Buddy (2013 - Malayalam), Guppedantha Prema (2016 - Telugu, eight songs plus background score), Pattampoochi (2022 - Tamil, starring Sundar C and Jai) and Lucky (2026 - Tamil, Hotstar / Kavithalaya - starring G.V. Prakash). His upcoming Tamil project is “Knock Knock”. He has also composed for documentaries by Shekar Dattatri and Anuradha Singh and scored the Tamil web series Paani Puri (2023).

His original compositions include Sindhubhairavi Thillana, Ayyane, Ganesha Ganesha, Queen Madalasa Lullaby, Mata Mundeshwari and Oru Maalai Nerathil (2025) - a multilingual romantic single (Tamil / Telugu / Kannada / Hindi) featuring pioneering AI-generated visuals. His reinterpretations and collaborations such as Chinnanchiru Kiliye (with Shweta Mohan) and Lullaby Mashup (with Abby V) have become viral favourites among fusion listeners. His recent track Move Like Mohana Kalyani (2025) crossed 600 K views within weeks.

Navneeth rose to national fame on India’s Got Talent (2018) earning a Golden Buzzer and reaching the semi-finals. He has appeared as a guest and judge on Super Singer (Vijay TV), Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (Zee Tamil) and Hariyudan Naan (Jaya TV). Renowned for his one-man “unplugged” piano accompaniment style he is one of India’s most sought-after live performers. He has collaborated and performed with legends such as A. R. Rahman, Ilaiyaraaja, Amit Trivedi, Harris Jeyaraj, G. V. Prakash, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Santhosh Narayanan, Hiphop Thamizha, Thaman and playback icons Shankar Mahadevan, Karthik, Vijay Prakash, Srinivas, Sujatha Mohan, Unni Krishnan, Shweta Mohan, Haricharan, Vijay Yesudas among others. As a fusion artist he has shared the stage with Dr. M.
